Catalogs
Third-party catalog services, such as Facebook Shop, are great tools for shoppers to find the best deals. These platforms allow you to compare product prices and help shoppers make informed decisions. It’s worth choosing the best one for your market based on the pros and cons of each service.
Each product catalog is supported in different countries. You can create a link to your products that you can use on your chosen catalog platform to periodically synchronize your products.
You can create links to output product data in JSON, XML or CSV format. Please note that not all catalogs support all formats. You can also filter the products you want to include in your catalog by selecting categories and brands.
The store owner will need a separate account for each catalog service in the management interface of the given catalog.
In general, the settings required for catalogs are provided in the following management interface in the Sellvio administration interface. This interface is available under the External Services > Catalogs tab.
- Categories - in this field you can specify which product categories should be included in the synchronization during the catalog synchronization.
- Manufacturers - in this field you can specify which products from which manufacturers should be included in the synchronization during the catalog synchronization.
- URL - this URL must be specified on the management interface of the given catalog page, as synchronization takes place through this. If the correct URL is not set, the external catalog system cannot retrieve and receive product data from the web store.
- Format - different catalogs support different formats. The administrator can select the format in which the data should be sent during the given synchronization.
